Vigil Hour of Prayer Organized

Fr. Makk started a vigil of prayer in the parish. Parishioners were asked to set aside one hour a week to pray for world peace, the armed forces, Christian Unity, Racial understanding, youth and Church & Government leaders. The hour of prayer could be in the Church or, if parishioners wished, at home. The hours that the Church was open was: Sunday 8 a.m. to Noon; Weekdays 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.; and Saturday 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Those willing to join this “Crusade of Prayer” were asked to indicate the day of the week and the hour on a sheet attached to the bulletin. “If there was ever a time in our history that we need a Crusade of Prayer, it is now,” said Fr. Makk.
