Parish Mission Statement Revised

On June 14, 2001 the Parish Council after several versions were proposed, agreed to the following Mission Statement for the parish:

“As members of St. Anthony Parish in sharing the common bonds that unite us with other parishes in the city of Superior and the Diocese of Superior, we work toward building the Body of Christ through the warm and welcoming fellowship which is characteristic of our faith community.

We proclaim the Gospel of the Lord, encourage daily prayer, and welcome new parishioners to celebrate the Eucharist with us. We believe our parish shall reach out to inactive parishioners, non-members, and non-Catholics in our community with an invitation to be one with us in worship and ministry.

We center the Eucharist and celebrate with faith and joy as we are nourished through the Body of Christ.

In addition, we shall answer the needs of our parishioners so that we can grow together in our faith in Jesus Christ.”
